lesson 1

We talked about trends and how some trends are going up and other are going down. Divorce rates are going up as well as cohabitation, marriage age, employed moms, and both parents working. These things are effecting the children in the home so much more and it is not good. We need to be the ones that set the example for the other people in our world. The family is the core foundation on which society is built. It is important to remember that we must protect our families. This week my class discussed major trends in society and how they affect the family. It makes me sad to see that a lot of the popular family dynamics of today such as cohabiting and same sex couples are adversely impacting our society and more importantly our children.I have thought about the family this week and I see how important it is to make sure that children are raised in a good environment at home so that they know what is right. With all that is going on in the world it is hard to know how our personal lifestyles will affect our children and our society.
